http://www.barrettrifles.com/ These are the sweetest things I've seen, and they're legal in all states except Californication(naturally).

I want one!

Quote:
MURFREESBORO — When U.S. soldiers need to penetrate a tank's armor from a mile away, they count on a weapon that evolved from the garage tinkering of a former wedding photographer.

The .50-caliber rifle created by Ronnie Barrett and sold by his company, Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc., is the most powerful firearm civilians can buy. It weighs about 30 pounds and can hit targets up to 2,000 yards away with armor-piercing bullets.

That kind of power has drawn a customer base of gun enthusiasts, Hollywood actors and Barrett's most loyal buyer, the U.S. military, which has been buying Barrett's rifles since the 1980s and using them in combat from the 1991 Gulf War to the present.

Snip snip

Barrett estimates that about 1,000 of his rifles — which cost $3,500 to $10,000 each — have been used in both the 1991 Gulf War and the current war in Iraq.
Edit: Here's the link.

Any rifle with a bore over .500" needs special "approval" for sale to civillians, otherwise it is a "destructive device" and requires special permitting/tax.

For those not famillar with conversions, 12.7mm is the metric equivalent of .500". There are methods around this, namely not using fixed ammunition. You can make any size muzzle-loader, for example. Or you can make any size breech-loading howitzer, provided it is loaded with loose powder.

yes its a Bolt-action Rifle .
its less of an assault weapon then the M82 barret .
The RT-20 will bring a New meaning to 1-shot kill in Deer Hunting

seriously though in WW2 20mm(.75 ?) bullets blew big holes in walls as well as trees and Aircraft which the 20mm was the bullet used in the German Flakvierling . So i would guess it would be easier if a 15mm Steyr AMR
were made here , because the 20mm might just freak out Big Dady Gov .

I'm gonna post some Old WW2 Anti-Tank Rifles that came in calibers such as .55 and 14.5mm , those might be Considered Vintage/collectors and be able to use for Sporting .
